What is NLP
NLP was first created and developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, and later they were assisted in its development by their students and colleagues. NLP is a very dynamic field of work which is still being developed and advanced to this day.
There have been many attempts to define NLP (neuro linguistic programming). Here are a couple to help you consider the potential for NLP:
- “NLP is an approach to personal change. It offers practical ways to change unconscious processes, to reprogramme the mind.”
- “The models that constitute Neuro-Linguistic Programming create sets of distinctions that allow us to communicate better and to replicate behaviours that others can produce.”
I like to think of NLP as a very flexible approach to thinking, behaving and communicating. As you become increasingly skilled you learn, and continue to learn, new opportunities for better relationships, ways of feeling good and a freedom to pursue your goals and ambitions.
